Hurricane Sandy Update - November 19th, 2012

We continue to work through the effects of Hurricane Sandy. On behalf of our directors and employees, I would like to thank you for your continued support of First National Bank of the Gulf Coast and for banking with us.

We are pleased to announce that all transactions done at any of our banking offices or through remote deposit capture from October 29th through November 16th have been processed with all accounts updated accordingly.

Unfortunately, due to this catastrophe, we have encountered another issue that will impact our customers indirectly. We have been notified by the Federal Reserve Bank (of Atlanta, Miami Branch) that there are instances of duplicate items submitted for some transactions processed.

What this means to you, our customer, is that if you deposited a check to your account, it could have been duplicated with the payer being debited twice. We are working diligently with the Federal Reserve and affected customers as well as non-customers to get these items reversed immediately. The good news is that most receiving banks will automatically return these duplicate items without impact to their customers.

If you experience any issues with this situation, please contact us immediately at 239-348-8000 or 877-763-0244.

We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience that this has caused and are working diligently to remedy the situation. Our continued thoughts go out to all of those impacted by the tragedy of Hurricane Sandy.
